I had a fantastic experience with Martin for college planning advice. He was knowledgeable and incredibly easy to communicate with. Martin took the time to understand my family’s unique situation and offered clear guidance without ever being pushy. It was refreshing to get honest advice focused on what was best for us—not just what fit into a sales pitch. Highly recommend to anyone looking for trustworthy and stress-free financial guidance for college planning!

My wife and I have been working with Woodfield Financial Advisors for the last 6 years and we are extremely pleased with not only our financial results but just as importantly the service from Jim Dobbs. Jim is always ahead of the curve and will personally call us when market conditions warrant. We have complete faith, we only wish we started with Jim and Woodfield sooner.

I called WFA to see if they could help me with financial planning and was connected with Martin. I described my history and current circumstances and goals during which Martin asked quite a few questions. He then made some very specific recommendations and answered my questions in turn. I then asked if WFA offered any services that I should sign up for and, to my surprise, Martin said he didn't think I needed their help at this time but that I could call again if something changed. I offered to pay for his time but he declined that as well. The entire experience was so friendly and helpful!

From long range planning to yearly/monthly strategies, Martin and the WFA team are exceptional to work with. I chose WFA because of their fee-only option, fiduciary status, and excellent reviews. I was not disappointed! I met with Martin to get advice as I plan for retirement. His thorough analysis of my existing assets, my current life situation, and my future goals resulted in an easy-to-understand action plan that will help me feel secure in retirement. Martin was extremely helpful in advising me how to better maximize my current investments as well as how to direct new contributions going forward. His extensive knowledge and easy-going & personable demeanor were very much appreciated!

I have been a client of Woodfield Financial Advisors for nearly 30 years and have been very pleased with their professionalism, financial planning strategy and customer service. My advisor is Jim Dobbs and each year we sit down at least one time (or more) to discuss my portfolio, his strategy for me, and to learn if my financial needs have changed. Once we have discussed any changes on my end, the portfolio has been updated. Over the years, they have made changes to their strategy and always updated me before any changes have been made. Thus, my trust level has never waivered in 30 years. In fact, one of my sons, now invests at Woodfield Financial Advisors and Martin is his advisor. I know he trusts and appreciates Martin’s down-to-earth approach, honesty and advice. Jim, Don and Martin are a great team!

I have been working with Martin for a couple years and could not be happier with the support and guidance I’ve received. Financial planning can be intimidating if you’re not an expert and he makes the process approachable, easy to understand and he customizes his guidance to your specific needs.
